Mornflake

Seven steps to successful slimming
TV and radio regular, Dr Carrie Ruxton, drew on her research and knowledge of so-called Super Foods to develop the following seven rules for realistic weightloss:

A moderate calorie level which is enough to promote weight loss without leaving you feeling hungry.  Aim to consume between 1,200 and 1,600 calories per day to see successful results

Plenty of healthy, high protein foods which promote satisfaction during and after main meals
Drinks based around water to minimise unwanted calories. Aim for 8-10 glasses of fluid a day, more if the weather is hot
A daily dose of oatbran and generous servings of oats to help prolong feelings of fullness throughout the day and naturally boost fibre levels, aiding healthy digestion
A moderate fat intake, mostly from the super-healthy unsaturated fats, particularly from fish and olive oil
A moderate carbohydrate intake from low GI foods which have a gentler effect on blood sugar levels than high GI foods
Add in 30-60 minutes of physical activity daily, e.g. walking, cycling, sport, vigorous housework, to maximise weight loss

PIG OUT

This is the last day I am going to pig out.

Here's what I ate today:

Breakfast: Half a Kopi Bun, half cup rice and tinolang manok
Snack: Dark chocolate by Goya
Lunch: Hungarian sausage with cheese in ciabatta bread from Starbucks
Dinner (or lunch): Lasagna from Greenwich and Sambos from Brownies Unlimited. Even had a taste of chicken skin.

Oh crap.

Losing Weight is a Commitment

Just like a relationship, I will have to fully and wholly commit myself to losing weight.

That means no more emotional eating, binging or eating disorders.  I will lose weight by natural means.  Managing what I eat, exercise (belly dancing, ab king pro, moving a lot, etc) and following through on my progress.  I need to create a plan, set SMART goals and go all scientific on this.

Must need tape measure and take a picture of my big fat self today.  Once I'm successful on this experiment, I know that I would feel great!

What pushed me to do this:

  • Endless comments "you have gotten fat"
  • Not fitting in my size 27 jeans
  • Tired of wearing black all the time and loose fitting clothes to hide the bulges
  • Frustrated at people who pinch my love handles all the time

So join me on my quest to Skinnydom!
